It is truly an honor to serve as your President. The Northeastern Society of Periodontists is a world respected organization for its academic and educational programs as well as for its members. Through the support and participation of you, our members, and the financial support of our sponsors we have been able to accomplish the scholarly pursuits and camaraderie that many organizations aspire to but few if any achieve.

The dedicated efforts and boundless energy of our executive director has helped to make this possible and I wish to thank him for this. The Board of Directors has some of the finest clinicians, academicians and administrators I have had the pleasure to serve with whose selfless time and effort are appreciated by all.

This year’s Spring Meeting Program, focuses on and is entitled “NEW HORIZONS IN PERIODONTICS AND IMPLANTOLOGY”. The Program Director, Dr. Bruce Davidson, has assembled a renowned and dynamic group of speakers; I am proud to say they all are members of our society. In the Fall, we will be expanding on this including both national and international speakers of interest. Both meetings will be geared primarily towards the clinician and their scope of practice.

Your participation and interaction in these programs and the NESP is crucial in making these programs a success not only for the organization but most importantly for you the members. I will work diligently with all of you to ensure your satisfaction that active membership in the NESP is a enriching experience. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
