November 2011

To our Members, Students, Exhibitors, and Guests,

Throughout the years, the Northeastern Society of Periodontists has provided outstanding education to its members. Our full day programs are an opportunity to hear acclaimed speakers from around the world present scientific advances in periodontics. In 2012, we look forward to another year of stimulating and thought provoking presentations. Our Spring Program will focus on Implant Therapy from Site Development to Provisionalization. Our fall program will concentrate on Innovations in Periodontics and Implants. I wish to thank my program chair, Dr. Giorgio Divincenzo, for working to assemble renowned speakers to present on an array of topics ranging from soft tissue and bone deficiencies to immediate loading and provisionalization of implants. I hope you will join us at the Marriott Marquis in New York City for the spring meeting on April 20, 2012, and the fall meeting on November 2, 2012.

I am honored to be President of this prestigious organization in 2012. My association with the NESP began during my periodontology graduate program. The meetings, then and now, are an occasion for members to meet with fellow colleagues, both academicians and established practitioners, renew friendships, and share in a terrific day of scientific education.

The success of our society is due to a dedicated group of officers, trustees, past presidents, program chairs, and others who work to ensure that our meetings are invigorating and thought-provoking. Our executive director, Dr. David Kratenstein, works tirelessly to guarantee that our meetings run smoothly. Yet, we owe the greatest success of our society to you, our members, for continuing to support the organization through your membership and attendance at our scientific sessions. Your thoughts and suggestions are important to us. Please contact us with any ideas you have so that we may continue to provide exceptional programs in the future. I look forward to seeing you at the Marriott Marquis on April 20th.
